About KAKTS

We started with the material, not the logo.

KAKTS began with a question: could an everyday bag be made from something other than animal hide or conventional plastic, without asking the person carrying it to compromise?

Cactus leather was the most convincing answer we found. It is plant-based, it can be produced consistently, and it handles like a material you would want to touch every day.

Fewer pieces, each doing its job well.

We would rather make eight pieces properly than eighty quickly. Every product has a specific role — the tote for work, the sling for hands-free days, the card holder for the pocket.

Shapes are quiet on purpose. A bag you are not tired of looking at is a bag you keep using.

Durability lives in the details.

A bag rarely fails in the middle of a panel. It fails at a handle anchor, a raw edge, a seam under load. That is where our attention goes: folded and stitched edges, reinforced attachments, base panels that stop sagging.

We will publish more about where and how our pieces are made as production partnerships are finalised. Until then, we would rather say less than say something we can’t stand behind.
